'I am so grateful for the help and support I got when working through UCAS Apply. The final draft of my personal statement was spot on and the help I got preparing for interviews really paid off. I've been offered a conditional place at Bristol and Southampton to read philosophy. Thanks again!' (Amanda Roberts)
'I was anxious about UCAS and the whole application process, but my tutor made it simple and stress-free. It really is straightforward with the right guidance!' (Andrew Walton)
'My tutor was a reassuring and highly resourceful presence throughout my UCAS application. I don't know what I would have done without her support. I ended up with an excellent personal statement and conditional offers from all five Uni's I applied to.' (Sarah Willis)
'Thanks for all the guidance in choosing the right university course - I hadn't thought it through sufficiently and might well have ended up studying the wrong combination at the wrong Uni. I'm reading Music and Management Sciences at Southampton, which wouldn’t have crossed my mind if it hadn’t been for my tutorials.' (Natasha Reed)
Our UCAS application service is designed to assist our tutees in completing the UCAS application process. In so doing, we adopt a four-stage approach.
Stage 1: Tutees are guided through the courses and universities available to them, receiving advice on which five university courses best fit their chosen Year 12/13 subjects, their interests, their ability, and their aims or career plans, taking into account university type (campus or town) and geographical location.
Stage 2: Tutees are guided though 'Apply' (the UCAS online application system).
Stage 3: Tutees work closely with their tutor to produce their draft and final personal statements. Please click here for more information on our personal statement service.
Stage 4: Tutees finalise their references, obtained either from their teacher or their tutor.
The number of tutorials a tutee will require will vary and will depend on the amount of effective research already undertaken in choosing the right course and university, whether the UCAS 'Apply' process is already partly complete, and the standard of any draft personal statements provided.
Where tutees do not receive an offer to study their desired university course, or do not achieve the necessary grades, their tutor can provide advice on both the reapplication process and the clearing process.
Tutees who are called to interview are invited to attend practice and mock interviews, during which they tackle questions and scenarios pertinent to their chosen university course.
